Temperatures are forecast to reach the 60's this weekend. Waterfalls are at the best viewing of the season. Iron County ATV/ UTV Trails remain closed at this time, routes are open.

The calendar is once again full of area activities and events. For those businesses who participate in the annual Memorial Day Poker Run, remember to return your signed contract, event information and payment to our office by Friday, April 26. This year's rally marks 34 years of fun on the trails in Hurley.

Share the event on your business facebook page, every registered participant in the Poker Run will receive an entry in the prize package giveaway valued at $750!!
Easter Egg Hunt
Head out to Whitecap Mountain Resort on Saturday, April 20 and enjoy the Easter Bunny, Egg Hunt, Face Painting and Games. Brunch will be available for purchase. Call the Resort for details, 715-561-2227

Brian Nasi Memorial Heart Run/ Walk
For the 14th year, the Brian Nasi Memorial Heart Run/ Walk will take place on the Saturday of Mother's Day Weekend. This year join your friends and family at the Hurley K-12 School to participate in either a 1 mile or 3.2 mile run OR walk. Register today and receive an event shirt, shirt deadline is April 26, 2019. NO SHIRTS will be ordered after the event.

Kids Fishing Day
The Superior Bass Club will take time on Saturday, May 4 to give kids a chance to become "hooked" on fishing. Lunch is provided.

Wellness Fair
Yukon 51 will host a Wellness & Psychic Fair on Saturday, April 27. Vendors will be on hand from 12:00 - 4:00 pm to answer questions about health products.

The evening program features Unsinkable Souls, LLC and is by reserved ticket only.

Customer Service & Hospitality Training
The Hurley, Manitowish Waters, and Mercer Chambers are teaming up to offer two customer hospitality seminars on Monday, May 13 at 5pm at the Great Northern Hotel, Mercer and Tuesday, May 14 at 10am at Sharon’s Coffee Company, Hurley.
The seminar topics are the same both Monday and Tuesday, offering participants the opportunity to learn about the essential qualities involved in hosting international visitors attending upcoming world competitions at Copper Peak, as well as best practices of customer service in today’s diverse and digital society.
Jeff Anderson, Regional Tourism Specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, will cover topics such as making service fun, sharing insider tips, defusing unhappy customers and basic do’s and don’ts. Kassi Huotari, with Copper Peak, will share how close the world class facility is to hosting international competitions and what we can expect from the international tourists the facility will bring to our region.
While the hour-long seminars are open to all, reservations are encouraged. Please call or email one of the chambers by Wednesday, May 8 to let them know you plan to attend.
