Jean Stevens, Colors of Sunflowers, oil

Newtown

Curated by Hicks Art Center Gallery Exhibitions Associate, Clifford Eberly, The Emeriti Faculty Arts Exhibition on the Newtown Campus highlights the teaching coterie of artists, historians and musicians who have profoundly impacted modern and contemporary culture locally and around the world.

The exhibition demonstrates how the Bucks community of artists, educators, and scholars have dedicated their careers to exploring diverse artistic practices and pushing creative boundaries not only in the classroom but in their own studio practices as well.

A curator’s tour of the exhibition will take place on Sunday, October 19th at 1 pm in Hicks Art Center. Free and open to the public with a maximum of 25 participants. To register, email gallery@bucks.edu.

Also, on the Newtown Campus in the lobby of the Zlock Performing Arts Center, The Colors of Fall is an exhibition of over 50 artworks by regional artists in a variety of media who responded to an open call. On view through October 15.

Epstein

The Ebb and Flow exhibit featuring art that depicts the natural rhythm of life as experienced through highs and lows, up and downs, fluctuations, and fluidity, is currently on view through December 11 at The Gallery at Lower Bucks Campus, located at the Epstein Campus in Bristol Township.

Upper Bucks

Art lovers are also invited to the Show of Shows opening reception at the Upper Bucks Campus’ Fickes Gallery on Friday, September 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. Artworks will be judged and awarded prizes by Hicks Art Center Gallery Exhibitions Associate, Clifford Eberly.

The exhibition will be on view from September 22 to October 31. The Fickes Gallery is located in the lower level of the North Building on the campus in Perkasie.

Admission is free and open to the public at all BCCC locations. All artworks are for sale at The Colors of Fall, Ebb and Flow and Show of Shows, with 25% of each sale benefiting scholarships for Bucks students.  Some of the artworks in the Faculty Emeriti Arts Exhibition are not for sale since they are part of the college’s art collection or on loan from the artist or artist’s estate.
