SPARTAN NATION WELCOMES EDISON PREP |

No matter what grade your student is in, the quest for college readiness is a whole new language for parents to learn and Spartan Nation is pleased to bring one of our partners to North Springs for two sessions - one in person and one via Zoom - to educate parents on the SAT vs ACT process, how colleges view AP and dual enrollment, how to prep for the ACT and/SAT, and more.

Spartan Madness is Coming! |
Save the Date for March 25 for our annual fundraiser Spartan Spectacular. This year it will be SPARTAN MADNESS - a fun sports themed night to support our students and faculty. We are excited to return to Hudson Grille in Sandy Springs from 7 - 10:30 pm. Tickets will be going on sale soon and in the meantime we are seeking two key committee positions: Someone to help us with communications/marketing/social media and someone to help us with sponsorships. We are specifically seeking a company or business to sponsor the food and beverage cost. If you're able to help us with either need, please reach out to Spartan Madness Chair Nicole Morris nicole.n.morris@emory.edu.

The Spartan Nation Grants Committee are so grateful for the family donations that fund this important initiative at North Springs. Each year, teachers submit requests in 1-2 cycles for special academic equipment for their classrooms. This equipment goes beyond any department or school budgets and serves to enhance the learning experiences of as many students as possible.
This fall, the committee was pleased to fund the following requests: printing press for work-based learning and graphic design projects, reading equipment for CBI students in the media center, vocational task boxes for CBI students, learning materials for ESOL students, academic bowl systems, music recording studio and podcast studio setups, electronic pianos & stands, virtual reality systems, chemistry test kits, forensic science systems, and ergonomic drawing stands. A second round of requests will open up in the new year to help with second semester and beyond. Again, thank you, Spartan Nation families!

Calling all chili-making-parents! The Hospitality committee is hosting a super fun Chili Cookoff contest Thursday, February 23! Pull out your crock pot and your best recipe start cooking!
