Celebrating Our Labor & Delivery Champions!

In June, the ASF team hit the road, delivering nearly 1,000 whoopie pies to Labor & Delivery nurses and staff across Maine. From Biddeford to Fort Kent, and Norway to Mount Desert Island, we covered over 1,400 miles, visiting 31 hospitals.

This was our heartfelt way of saying thank you for sharing the $500 Alfond Grant information with families at such an important moment—the very start of their child’s life. Often, this is the first time families hear about the grant, giving them hope and inspiration for their child's future 🌞.

We couldn’t do it without you—thank you for all that you do! ❤️

A New Resource for Maine Families

The Maine Child Welfare Action Network (MCWAN) and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) recently announced Be There for ME, a new campaign for parents and caregivers in Maine and the people who support them. The campaign aims to reduce the stigma of asking for help and provides a judgement-free place for parents and caregivers to start to find support.

Parenting can be a joy, and it can also be hard. Everyone needs help sometimes and support is out there. Learn more and start to find support at: https://BeThereforME.org.

Print & Play: Native Trees I.D. Chart

Maine’s forests are home to beautiful evergreen trees, but can you tell which conifers they are? Our Conifer I.D. Chart is a fun, interactive way for kids and families to explore and learn about the trees in their own backyard.

This simple activity encourages curiosity about nature and is perfect for sparking conversations about Maine’s environment.
