Special Christmas Collection

Please consider donating to the Chelsea Collaborative for our Christmas Special Collection recipient. The City of Chelsea has the highest incidence rate of COVID-19 cases in all of Massachusetts and a large population of Latinx residents. La Colaborativa (The Chelsea Collaborative) is feeding families, supporting residents facing eviction, and disseminating critical information about COVID-19. This organization has a history of assisting and empowering immigrants through facilitating youth employment, providing English language classes, and in recent Get Out the Vote efforts, among other activities. Their goal is to empower through enhancing the social and economic health of the community.

Thank You, Thank You !

Thank you thank you! Our congregation once again stepped up in a big way and was incredibly generous this holiday season! Thanks to all who were able to purchase gifts both for Project Care and Concern and for the residents of Norwood Healthcare.

This year it seemed so critical to reach out and let our friends know they were not forgotten! The coloring books, magazines, word search books and colored pencils were SO appreciated by the residents at Norwood Healthcare. Due to covid the residents haven't been able to gather and do activities together - so these gifts were more helpful and needed than ever.

The 57 residents of Project Care & Concern whom we were able to provide gifts for this year will be thrilled when they open their presents this week. It was inspiring to see the mountain of gifts being loaded into the two cars to be delivered. I hope you all know what a difference you've made!

Thank you again for your generosity.

 2020 Christmas Pageant!

Thank you to all the amazing children, youth, and families that contributed so generously to our beautiful telling of the Christmas Story in worship last Sunday! Through their gifts of story-telling, music, dance, visual art, and more, our kids truly shared the Advent light of hope, love, peace, and joy, and we are so grateful!

Did you know......

The FBI circulated the following memo after King's "I Have a Dream" Speech:  In the light of King's powerful demagogic speech yesterday he stands heads and shoulders over all other Negro leaders put together when it comes to influencing great masses of Negros. We must mark him now, if we have not done so before, as the most dangerous Negro of the future in this nation from the standpoint of communism, the Negro, and national security.
