Updates for Youth Development Providers *
The Children's Trust acknowledges and understands the uncertainty of the upcoming contract year. Until we have communicated a decision regarding Youth Development programs for the next contract year, we ask providers not to incur any direct service-related expenses. Additionally, any non-budgeted expenses incurred without prior approval by The Children's Trust will not be reimbursed. The only expenses that will be allowed, until a decision has been made, are expenses related to administrative staff and recurring operational items such as rent and utilities. Please ensure that your subcontractors are aware of these guidelines. If you have any questions about this message, please reach out to your assigned program manager. Thank you, additional updates will be provided weekly.

One More Week to Submit Champions for Children Award Nominations *
The coronavirus pandemic hasn't stopped the great work of our providers and community leaders and it definitely won't stop the 2020 Champions for Children Award Ceremony that honors the best of our community serving the children of Miami-Dade County. Due to pandemic, this year's award ceremony will be held virtually in the fall.
If you know an individual who has gone above and beyond to impact the lives of children, consider nominating them for one on the following:
- The David Lawrence Jr. Champion for Children Award is open for nominations from the community and honors an individual for a lifetime of notable achievement and dedication to children in Miami-Dade County.
- The Excellence in Direct Service Award also is open for nominations from the community and recognizes an employee (not a manager or executive director) of a program or initiative funded by The Children's Trust whose primary duties are to provide direct service to children and families.
Nominations will be accepted until August 7.
