Time to Say Thanks and Move On...
As you might have heard –
AANR Midwest has a new president!
I have completed my two terms and have had a wonderful four years serving the 13 state AANR Midwest Region, its resorts and members.
Trekking the region has been an adventure. Christine and I have made a lot of new friends, encouraged member involvement, and worked with some phenomenal people. I am proud of our efforts at spreading AANR goodwill and have enjoyed every minute of it.
I’ve been fortunate to be associated with our Board and Committee members who have helped me achieve my goals. Together we have increased attendance at summer convention and thus at our general assembly meetings during that week. If you have never attended such an event, I invite you consider making your plans for 2021. It’s exciting to know that we have possibly 4 clubs interested in hosting the event in the coming years.
AANR Midwest in the past 4 years has given away 9 - $5000 matching grants, 6 - $2000 scholarships and has earnestly support Kids Kamp and Jams and Yams. The people who run these programs are exceptional individuals and will need our support in the future.I give deserved recognition to Rick and Susan for their record setting Kids Kamp at Cedar Trails this year. All this has been accomplished while keeping our region coffers solvent, invested, and by being watchful stewards of the member’s dues.
A gracious thank you to all of the people with whom I worked. A commitment to social nudism is something we all share and I wish Kevin, our new president great success. As the new leader, he is already reaching out to the new Board and Committee members. I am so glad he is taking over for me. Change is good, term limits are good, and for me - more retirement time is really good.
Christine and I are not going anywhere. We plan on being involved and visible whenever schedules get back to normal. I see nothing but a bright future for us all.
It has been an honor to serve,
Richard
