A Social Security raise and don't forget about Medicare's Annual Election Period...
It has been announced that the 2019 Social Security benefit cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) will be 2.8% starting with the January 2019 payment. This is the largest "raise" social security beneficiaries have seen in seven years!
If you aren't currently receiving Social Security, chances are you are still paying in. You might be interested to know the maximum table earnings cap will increase from $128,400 to $132,900.
If you are currently on Medicare, now is the time to make any changes as the Annual Election Period opened on October 15 and closes on December 7. While you don't NEED to make changes to your current plan, it is a good idea to at least explore your options. That way you can determine if you're still using the best plan for your needs - not only for today but for the future as well.
