What gets you most excited about your work?
I get excited about being one of the people who help guide our clients to achieve their financial planning goals.
Why did you choose financial services?
I started off in this industry working for a fund company where I earned my series 7 and 63. While there, I was part of a specialized high-end advisor team and I often worked with client service personnel in the advisors' offices. As I worked with these people every day, I discovered that their role might be a better fit for me. When my husband and I moved here from Chicago almost 15 years ago, I specifically wanted to work with an advisor in a client service position and have been doing this role ever since.
How do you pass the time when you're not in the office?
I have two active boys, a wonderful husband and big puppy dog that keeps me busy when I'm not in the office. My boys play sports and music, and are involved in school activities which means I'm attending games and concerts, coaching, volunteering and enjoying all those types of parental duties. I live in a wonderful neighborhood where neighbors have become close friends which lends itself to a lot of get-togethers and activities.
What's your personal motto?
I don't have one motto that I live by. Instead I try to come up with a new phrase or word each year as I'm putting my annual goals together. My phrase this year is "just do." To me this means to stop overthinking things and get out there and "just do" them.
