Beloved Community Members,
My District C office was busy on the road this month, informing the community about the criminal legal system and providing meals to NOPD.
On Monday, August 22, and Tuesday, August 23, I was joined by Honorable Nandi Campbell, Honorable Marcus DeLarge, Honorable Juana Lombard, Honorable Kimya Holmes, current and former prosecutors and additional criminal justice system partners for special community education events. Thank you to the District C residents who joined us and the presenters who offered their time and wisdom.
In addition, between Monday, August 22, and Thursday, August 25, my office attended eight NOPD roll calls, providing breakfast and dinner to the officers of the first, fourth, fifth and eighth districts. Thank you to Captains St. Germain, Contreras, Nolan and Ganthier for your continued leadership and service. My office also sincerely appreciates the generosity and support of the sponsors and individuals who helped make these events a success, including the Louisiana Restaurant Association, Central City BBQ, Smoothie King and LJC Management.
