On Monday, January 18th, DAAD President Dr. Joybrato Mukherjee met virtually with a number of experts in the field of transatlantic relations and science for a public discussion entitled "Joe Biden - President for Science? A New Start for Transatlantic Scientific Relations." Included in the panel of participants was DAAD North America director Benedikt Brisch. Group Study Visit

This program offers financial support for subject-related academic visits to Germany organized by faculty members for groups of students. This program is open to all fields of study and is intended to both introduce students to facets of modern / contemporary German life and bring them into contact with their student peers in Germany. The next deadline is February 1, 2021 for support of visits scheduled to begin between June 1 and Sept. 1, 2021. For more information, please click on the link below.

German Studies Association Annual Conference

The German Studies Association will hold its 45th Annual Conference from 9/30 -10/3, 2021 in Indianapolis, IN. DAAD intends to contribute to the program through its sponsorship of seminars, panels, and round tables featuring DAAD German Studies Professors, the DAAD Centers for German and European studies, and other DAAD affiliated faculty and authors.
