Internship Database Now Open!

RISE Germany for Undergraduate Students


RISE Germany is a summer internship program for undergraduate students from the United States, Canada, Ireland, and the UK in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, engineering and computer science. RISE Germany offers unique opportunities for bachelor degree students to work with research groups at universities and top research institutions across Germany for a duration of three months (minimum stay ten weeks) during the summer.

Internship Database Now Open!

RISE Professional for Graduate Students


RISE (Research Internship in Science and Engineering) Professional offers research internships in Germany for up to six months to Master’s and PhD students (as well as qualifying undergraduates and recent graduates) from the US, Canada, Great Britain, or Ireland at companies and non-university research institutions with strong relations to industry. All participants receive a scholarship from DAAD and an additional stipend from their host company/institution to help cover living expenses.

Learn German in Germany!

University Summer Courses Offered in Germany for Foreign Students and Graduates


This program provides scholarships for undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students to attend a broad range of summer courses at German universities. These courses focus mainly on German language and literary, cultural, political and economic aspects of modern and contemporary Germany. Extensive extracurricular programs complement and reinforce the core material.

Doctoral Stipends

BIGSSS-DAAD Graduate School Scholarship Program


The Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS) invites applications for 2 scholarships for international doctoral researchers in its Graduate School Scholarship Program “Global Dynamics of Social Policy and Social Cohesion” (GSPSC), funded by DAAD. BIGSSS is an international inter-university graduate school in the social sciences located at the University of Bremen and Constructor University Bremen, Germany. Successful applicants will receive a Ph.D. scholarship from DAAD worth 1,200€ per month (plus additional benefits) for 48 months.

Scholarships for Graduate Students and Postdocs

The Study Foundation of the Berlin House of Representatives


The Study Foundation of the Berlin House of Representatives offers scholarships for graduate students and postdocs of all fields coming from the former Allied countries of World War II who want to study at a Berlin university or use research facilities in Berlin. Students and scholars from the United States are welcome to apply! The foundation will award 15 grants for the academic year 2024/25. The grants amount to 1,100 EUR for graduate and doctoral students; and 1,630 EUR for postdocs per month. The program will start on October 1, 2024 and end on July 31, 2025.
