Dear Sun City Summerlin Owners and Residents,

As many of you are aware I am away from my office taking care of my parents who are both very ill. I want to thank so many of you who have sent emails of encouragement. There is a lot going on in Sun City Summerlin so I thought while they are sleeping, I would update you, and share with you some of the things that would have been discussed at Friday @ 4pm.

Desert Vista Community and Fitness Center

Closure for Asphalt Repairs and Slurry Coat

The asphalt and slurry seal of the Desert Vista Community and Fitness Center parking lots is going as planned and barring any unexpected weather delays or mechanical failures the parking lot and all buildings will open on Tuesday September 04, 2022 @ 6 am.

Desert Vista Parking Lot Golf Cart Parking Hitching Posts Installed

Hitching posts have been installed in the golf cart parking areas at Desert Vista. If you want to secure your golf cart you need to bring your own cable and lock.

The hitching posts were installed as a way to allow owners to lock up their golf carts, after we had three (3) golf carts stolen from Mountain Shadows Community and Fitness Center parking lot in a short period of time. Most golf carts have an area on the front or back of the frame that has a hole for towing, and a bike lock cable can be threaded through the hole and attached to the hitching post, using your personal lock. You should use a high-quality lock that cannot be cut with bolt cutters.
