SCORE HQ Update: In-person Mentoring and Events
Yesterday, SCORE HQ sent an update to all volunteers regarding the resumption of in-person mentoring and events. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to change, it is important that we update and communicate our recommendations and guidelines.
As we continue to navigate through these ever-changing times, we understand that many of you may be interested in getting back to in-person events, meetings, and face-to-face mentoring. Each region, district, and chapter should utilize the state and local guidelines in conjunction with the additional safety recommendations and alternatives highlighted in the message sent yesterday - SCORE HQ Update: In-Person Mentoring and Events.
If you have any questions or would like to set up some time to discuss the specifics of your chapter, district, or region, please do not hesitate to reach out to Human Resources at Kaleigh.williams@score.org.
Thank you for your flexibility as we navigate the present and plan for the future.
Doug Nohe,
VP of Field Ops

Spring 2021 Megaphone of Mainstreet: Unsung Entrepreneurs
SCORE’s latest Megaphone of Mainstreet data report focuses on “unsung entrepreneurs” – immigrants, veterans, and encore (55+). These three groups of entrepreneurs consistently outperform others as engines for the small business economy. They start businesses at higher rates and operate more small businesses than others, yet they are consistently overlooked and often climb steeper hills to achieve their goals.

Upcoming Live Webinars for Small Business Owners
All SCORE chapters have access to a free premium VolunteerMatch account with the ability to create unlimited opportunities for various volunteer roles. And the more specific an opportunity is, the better the results. For example, SCORE Miami Dade made an opportunity to recruit for a Constant Contact Communications Specialist and received 5 applicants in the first month of it being active.
If you do not currently have access to your chapter’s VolunteerMatch account or have any questions, please email marketing@score.org.
