Letter from the Director
We are proud to share the continued growth and progress happening at Safe Harbor. Over the past several months, we have celebrated multiple program graduations. Men who have committed to change and are now stepping forward into a new chapter of life with purpose and sobriety.
Our outreach efforts have remained strong. We had the opportunity to serve the community by partnering with Project 615 to help feed the homeless, reinforcing the importance of giving back and staying connected to those in need. Additionally, we were blessed with a generous donation of 24 desks for our chapel, enhancing our space for learning, worship, and fellowship.
Our team has also been active in outreach at the Hickman County Jail, continuing to bring hope and encouragement to those who are still struggling. These visits are a vital part of our mission, showing others that transformation is possible.
We believe strongly in helping our men learn how to live and enjoy life in sobriety. This month, we attended the Winter Jam Christian concert, as well as several wrestling events in Waverly. These outings are intentional, teaching our men how to engage in social environments, have fun, and build healthy experiences without substance use.
Community responsibility remains a core value at Safe Harbor. Through our Adopt-A-Road program, our men have been actively participating in keeping our county clean, demonstrating pride in both themselves and their environment.
We have also stayed connected with local churches, attending multiple events throughout January. One of the most powerful highlights has been witnessing 9 baptisms, an incredible testament to the spiritual growth taking place within our program.
We are grateful for the continued support from our community and partners. Lives are being changed daily, and we remain committed to providing structure, faith, and opportunity for every man who walks through our doors.
