Around the District:

  • Celebrating the Class of 2020 Congratulations to our high school graduates around the district. From the school buses that stopped at every senior household in Hudson to deliver yearbooks and other special gifts, to the car parade in Maynard, the virtual scholarship and awards ceremonies, and the creative structures for graduation ceremonies this year, we join school administrators and staff in congratulating the Class of 2020 – you made it! • Maynard is creating space for outdoor business To assist businesses in increasing activity and revenues during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Town of Maynard is allowing businesses to apply to use public right of way (town parking spaces or sidewalks), private property or parking lots to temporarily extend their premises. The deadline for the first round of public right of way applications is Tuesday, June 9th at 4:00 PM. If equipment and space permits, there may be a future round of applications accepted at a later date. More information, including applications and contact information, can be found here.
  • Peaceful demonstrations for racial justice I’m pleased that peaceful demonstrations in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and racial justice are happening around our district, including the weekend’s peaceful protest in Maynard and the peaceful demonstration in Hudson on Monday evening.
