Update November 2020
Support LOCAL with United Way
The United Way of Knox County 2020 Campaign theme Eat Local, Shop Local, Spend Local and Donate Local. We can do this Knox County! demonstrates that we are committed more than ever to partnering and support local businesses who support United Way.
Local Business Features
We will utilize social media to announce our campaign sponsors - the businesses who provided the items for $5 Buck Friday and Silent Auction Sunday - as well as the businesses featured in the campaign events. We will also share how local businesses support our campaign efforts (for example, helping with design and printing of our materials) and program efforts (as sponsors, partners, or vendors).

Both $5 Buck Friday and Silent Auction Sunday items will be featured at uwayknox.org and on the United Way Facebook Page. Items will be available for pick-up at 305 East High Street by appointment the week following their online feature.

2021 Investment Process
October 30 was our deadline for 2021 United Way Investment Applications. With this part of the application process completed, we are excited to tell you what comes next.

Each year, we ask community members to serve on our Community Investment Panel. In late November, this year's CIP will review and evaluate program applications and presentations for 2021 Community Investment Agenda. The feedback we receive will be shared with the Community Investment Committee who will make funding recommendations to our United Way of Knox County Ohio, Inc. Board of Directors. It is a long, objective process with many community stakeholders involved. We rely on the community to guide funding partnership decisions.
Incentive to Give
As part of the CARES Act enacted in March, 120 million individual taxpayers who do not itemize their deduction are now eligible for a new charitable deduction. This new benefit, also referred to as a universal deduction, allows for individuals to claim a tax deduction for a charitable donation of up to $300. Please donate to United Way today.
Giving Tuesday
#GivingTuesday started as a day for anyone, anywhere to give. Today, it’s grown into the biggest charitable giving movement across the globe. Use this day to start a positive ripple in the community. By donating to United Way, you’re supporting efforts to improve health, education and financial stability for families right here is Knox County.

Your donation today matters. To us and to the others in our community who are coming together to fuel this collective force of giving. This year, your impact could be DOUBLED: donations made at uwayknox.org/Tuesday will be matched by the Knox County Foundation.
Volunteer Knox will be an online county-wide volunteer management platform.

This site will allow organizations in search of volunteers to provide agency information and specific volunteer job descriptions in a central database. Through this same platform, community members and groups can create logins and view, filter, and strategically select opportunities to pursue.
Organizations and volunteers will utilize the tool for free under one United Way of Knox County Ohio, Inc. agreement. Contact United Way of Knox County Ohio, Inc. Program Director for more information!
