Emergency Food Distribution Sites in Oakland and Pleasanton Extended into August

Operations of the following "drive-thru" emergency food distribution sites have been extended into the month of August.
Pre-packaged emergency food bags, boxes and/or produce are distributed on a first come, first served basis. No walk-ups are permitted. Masks must be worn by customers.

Zhone Way Distribution Site
7105 Oakport Street, Oakland, CA 94621
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday weekly
9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The car line forms on Oakport St. and proceeds in the southern direction. Customers are directed to drive up one at a time to a covered pick-up location next to the building.

To meet the unprecedented need for assistance during the COVID-19 emergency, SSA has deployed additional online resources to make critical information available to residents—right at their fingertips.
SSA has worked in partnership with the Alameda County Emergency Operations Center, the Alameda County Community Food Bank, and other community partners to assemble and organize County-wide data on
food distribution and emergency services for this easy-to-use online tool.

elps residents cut through the confusion and find information on vital services to meet their basic needs, such as food pantries, meal distribution, and free showers and laundry. All the user needs to do is enter their address or zip code or select a location on the interactive map, and results are provided for service locations within the desired radius.

Census 2020 in Alameda County

The Census is still happening through October 31, 2020! All Californians can complete the 2020 Census online, by phone or by mail as paper forms are being mailed to households that have not yet responded. A Census ID is not required for households to respond online or by phone. Be counted and help secure critical resources for your community today!

EMERGENCY HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS
Housing and Emergency Lodging Program (HELP)
This program is available to
single adults who are Alameda County residents and are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless.
Alameda County Season of Sharing (SOS) provides one-time emergency housing assistance and critical family needs to
families with children 18 and under living in the home; seniors age 55 and older; individuals with medically verified disabilities; veterans; emancipated or former foster youth; victims of domestic violence or violent crimes; and pregnant women in their 2nd trimester or later. Read more about
