Frank Hickman receives Lifetime Achievement Award
ranklin J. Hickman, founder and partner of Hickman& Lowder CO L.P.A.,
was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Ohio Association of County Boards (OACB) on November 29 in Columbus during its annual convention. This award is the association’s highest honor and is presented to a public official, board member, or other individual who has demonstrated throughout his or her professional lifetime a commitment to enhancing the lives of people with developmental disabilities. Hickman is the award’s third recipient.
Hickman has been committed to empowering and supporting people with disabilities for decades, including many families in Cuyahoga County. Among his many contributions to the local and state DD system, he served on the Cuyahoga County Board of DD starting in 1983 and was one of the original inductees to CCBDD’s Hall of Fame. Hickman was also instrumental in the founding of OACB in 1984, serving on the association’s first board of trustees from 1984-1987.
Hickman has been a constant and committed champion of people with developmental disabilities.
