Seeing Your Waiting List Assessment
Ohio's new Waiver Waiting List Rule became effective on September 1, 2018. Everyone on CCBDD's current Waiver Waiting List has been notified of this change, and CCBDD has begun evaluating current needs using the new assessment. CCBDD expects to have completed all assessments no later than the end of 2020.

If you or someone you support has completed the new Ohio Assessment for Immediate Need and Current Need for people with disabilities, help is available to view this assessment. The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) has created two videos that explain how a person or family member can set up a DODD Portal account and how to view the finished assessment.

If you have questions about the new Waiver Waiting List or the assessment, please contact
Alison Gahr at (216) 736-3675. We're here to help.

Since 2017, an additional 84 people have found competitive jobs. A total of 732 people with disabilities are now a part of the competitive workforce.

Consider borrowing before you buy

CCBDD has two equipment lending libraries containing over 2,000 pieces of equipment that are used to increase participation and promote safety and independence for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Occupational Therapy (OT) / Physical Therapy (PT) Library – contains items used for mobility and activities of daily living such as wheelchairs, lifts, toileting and bathing equipment, etc.

Assistive Technology (AT) Library – contains items ranging from low to high tech devices such as adaptive switches, watch minders and video doorbells.
Equipment can be loaned for trial periods to eligible individuals as well as to public school districts (Cuyahoga County only) and provider agencies to support people with developmental disabilities they are serving. CCBDD’s equipment lending allows individuals to move through multiple trials, if necessary, in order to find the right fit before purchasing. Equipment can also be loaned for short term needs where no future purchase may be necessary.
