New Carroll County Residential Development

A ground-breaking and open house was held Friday, June 18th for Pond View Acres residential development (near 8601 W. Division Rd) approximately ½ West of the Delphi Municipal Airport.

The Pond View Acres development is a considerable residential investment for Carroll County and highlights the ongoing residential growth initiative that is underway in the community. To date, Carroll County is at a record pace for new residential developments for 2021 and Pond View Acres will only help contribute to those totals. As of June 1st, Carroll County has seen 23 new resident permits totaling over 11.1 million in new home construction.

Greater Lafayette Region READI Initiative

The Greater Lafayette Region, made up of local governments, economic development organizations, non-profits and businesses from six local counties, including Carroll County, prepared project submissions for possible inclusion in a regional development plan.

The READI program was launched in May with the goal of creating projects and program to attract and retain top talent. The IEDC said at the time READI is expected to attract at least $2 billion local public, private and philanthropic match funding.

Meet CCEDC Summer Intern:

Emilee Gear

The Carroll County Economic Development had the pleasure to work with summer intern, Emilee Gear.

Emilee graduated from Delphi Community High School in 2017 with honors and pursued he undergraduate degree at Indiana University Bloomington. In 2021 graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Public Affairs, and is currently at the University of Georgia pursuing a Masters of Urban Planning and Design.

During her time with the EDC, Emilee worked on many important items like Residential TIF planning, rural broadband initiatives, and was key in the JNT Industrial Site (Camden) grant. We greatly appreciated her hard work and vision for the community.
