Dear MAC Families,

In less than a month, on September 1, MAC will be the beneficiary of the Doug Trangsrud Memorial Golf Tournament. This amazing event is in it’s 4th year, and we are hopeful that the golfers among you will take the day to participate. There will be prizes and a dinner to follow!

We are also looking for families and companies that would like to be hole sponsors for the event. If you are interested, or if you believe your business or company would be willing to sponsor, please contact Tony Thomann, tony.thomann@mnautism.org, and he can assist you.

To register for the tournament, click on the image below to register for the even. I hope to see many of you there.
Thanks for your partnership with the Minnesota Autism Center,
Jeff Nichols

University of Minnesota Research Study

MAC regularly collaborates with the University of Minnesota on research opportunities to foster greater understanding of autism and it’s effects on children and families. One of the ways we work with them is to provide our families with opportunities to participate in research studies.
The following is an opportunity for those families who have infants.

Ongoing COVID Protocols

We want to encourage parents and caregivers to consider the current variant of COVID that is circulating in our communities. COVID outbreaks can disrupt schedules impacting client’s therapy and staff’s work life.

  1. To continue to minimize the impact of COVID, our protocols are:
  2. Staff must wear masks while at a therapy site.
  3. Staff regularly sanitize their work areas.
  4. Our regular cleaning includes sanitizing high-touch areas.
  5. Few or no non-therapy staff allowed on site unless necessary, and when necessary – masks are required.
  6. Encouraging, not mandating, the COVID vaccination for those who are eligible.
  7. Working with clients on tolerating mask wearing.
  8. Social distancing to the extent possible.
Eagan B - Building Sale

In 2019, prior to the disruption in MAC's services caused by the pandemic. One of our three buildings in Eagan, "Eagan B", located at 2120 Silver Bell Road had been put up for sale.

While there was some activity on that sale over the last year, in the last few months, we've secured a buyer, ISD #196, the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan school district.

The building was being used VERY minimally over the last year. It's sale will not impact our therapy.

We also believe having the school district so close will allow for partnership opportunities and collaboration in the coming years.
