Welcome to the 2022 Growing Season!
It’s May – bringing warmer weather, longer days and the time of year when farm activities really gear up in Calvert County. This growing season promises fun celebrations, new ventures and a host of opportunities to support your local farmers, watermen and the people who grow our agricultural economy.
Calvert County Farmers Markets help support local farmers, watermen and small businesses and allow you to feel good about your food sources. Offering a variety of fruits, vegetables, plants and baked goods, there’s something for everyone.
The 2022 market schedule is:
Tuesdays: CalvertHealth in Prince Frederick, 2:30-6:30 p.m.
Thursdays: Dunkirk District Park , 3:30-6:30 p.m.
Saturdays: Sneade’s Ace Home Center parking lot in Lusby, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the North Beach Senior Center parking lot, 8 a.m. to noon
This season the Maryland Market Money program will offer a dollar-for-dollar match for purchases made using federal nutrition benefits at the three participating farmers markets (all except Lusby). To learn more about SNAP and eligibility requirements, visit USDA Food and Nutrition Website.
