UVBA UPDATES
Dear Businesses:

New Hampshire Updates:
Governor Sununu announced Friday that  Hotels, Motels, Inns, B&B's and short term rentals (AIrbnb) may reopen on June 5.  Those with 20 rooms or less may open at full capacity, as well as hotels/motels with room entrances leading directly outdoors. Those with more than 20 rooms may reopen at 50% capacity. See the Guidance documents.

Note : Lodging operators will need to have your out of state guests sign an affadavit attesting that they have quarantined for 14 days prior to their arrival. This document must be attached to the reservation form. UVBA will have a sample document to share soon. This is very important to follow - because NH has not enabled any safe harbor legislation yet concerning the liability of business owners for covid19 related claims, it is incumbent on the lodging operator (and any business) to follow guidelines as closely as possible. Safe Harbor legislation has been proposed to both the Governor to enact as an emergency order and the State legislature, but to date neither have taken steps to enact. UVBA is closely following this issue.

Lodging that serves food (has a restaurant or is a B&B) must follow guidelines for restaurants - no indoor seating, no buffets. Take and go is allowed or outdoor seating. See the restaurant guideline s.

Also reopening:
Day Camps on June 22.
Overnight Camps on June 28.
Driver's Ed Instruction may resume immediately and the NH DMV is now administering drivers' tests by appointment.

The Governor also announced that he is extending the Stay at Home order until June 15.

Vermont Updates:
Governor Phil Scott announced Friday the resumption of additional close contact businesses, dental procedures, businesses that require work in the home, and of limited overnight youth summer camp programming.Social gatherings may now be up to 25 people. The summer camps guidance includes protocols for out-of-state campers. Gatherings can be held inside and outside. See the Update Here.
