Seeking a Treasurer

As we begin 2025, the Cow Hollow Association is more committed than ever to preserving the integrity of our neighborhood and addressing the challenges we face. This year, we continue to advocate for thoughtful development, support our local businesses, and keep you informed about important issues. We look forward to working together for a vibrant and thriving community.

Exciting News: Pay Meters Stopped!

We are pleased to announce that, after much advocacy, pay meters in Cow Hollow have been halted! This decision was a result of community efforts and collaboration with local officials, ensuring that the needs and concerns of our neighborhood are heard. Thank you to our new Supervisor, Stephen Sherrill, for helping facilitate this effort - even before you were appointed! We will keep you updated on any future developments, but for now, this is a big win for the community!

Walgreens Leaving: Implications for Our Neighborhood

You may have already heard, the Walgreens store on the corner of Divisadero and Lombard will be closing, along with several other locations in the city and nationwide. As one of the few remaining national retail stores in the area, this departure will have wide-reaching implications. The chain states the top reasons for leaving include slow reimbursement of prescription drugs, more people buying goods online, and gross receipt taxes. The theft, loitering and other issues that we all witness were on the list, but not the top reasons for leaving.

Beyond the loss of a convenient location for pharmacy services, we now face questions regarding the future of the space. Will it be a new use or will it be torn down and replaced with an 8-14 story tower, or could it become another vacant storefront in our neighborhood, potentially attracting additional graffiti and crime in our neighborhood?

The Cow Hollow Association is committed to working with local businesses and our new Supervisor to ensure that any changes reflect the values and needs of our community. Stay tuned for updates.

Meet District 2 Supervisor Stephen Sherrill

Supervisor Stephen Sherrill will be officially sworn in on Thursday, January 16th at 4:30 pm at the Presidio Officers Club. This will be a great opportunity to meet our new District 2 Supervisor, hear about his vision for our district, and share your concerns. Your voice matters in shaping the future of Cow Hollow and we encourage you to attend and engage with Supervisor Sherrill.

Fundraise for Fence: Progress Update

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the fundraising efforts for the much-needed protective fence in surrounding the new plantings! This is all part of making Richardson and Lombard Streets a more welcoming and beautiful gateway into San Francisco.

We’ve made great strides, but we’re still a bit short of our goal. If you haven’t donated yet, it’s not too late! Your contribution will help enhance the safety and appearance of our neighborhood. Please DONATE TODAY, and help us finish the job!
