To the Pace Community:
University administration is aware of news reports regarding Hamas and its leaders' call for global protests and threats of possible violence. As communicated by law enforcement, at this time there is no specific, credible threat of violence. Please be assured that we are in constant communication with the NYPD’s 1st Precinct, the Mount Pleasant Police Department, and the White Plains Police Department, all of which receive intelligence information from federal, state, and county agencies.

There will be increased vigilance, Security presence, and continued cooperation with law enforcement from Pace’s Office of Safety and Security and we will continue to be flexible and responsive to any new information we receive.

Pace University is committed to the safety and well-being of its students, staff, and faculty across all its campuses. Here are a few reminders about how we promote a culture of safety on campus:
  • If you have not done so already, please download the PaceSafe app to access features like emergency contact information; Friend Walk, to share your location with a trusted individual; incident reporting; and Pace’s emergency procedures.
  • Make sure your contact information is updated in our PaceAlerts system. It’s how the University will communicate in the event of an emergency situation. As a reminder, you can enroll friends and family in the system as well, so that they, too, are receiving the most accurate safety information about our campuses.
  • Report issues in a timely manner using Pace’s Guardian system. It’s used to receive, track, and manage incident reports and share them with the most appropriate departments within the University. All students, staff, and faculty can use the Guardian reporting form to share experiences, concerns, or issues with the University.
  • Always keep your Pace ID card easily accessible when accessing and moving around campus.

All on-campus activities and classes will proceed as planned. As a reminder, students in need of support may contact the Counseling Center or the Office for the Dean for Students. Staff and faculty may reach the Employee Assistance Program.
Sincerely,
Vincent Beatty
Executive Director Safety and Security
