Dear Uplift Community,

There’s no doubt as to where all of our thoughts are these days. During this time of uncertainty and stress, I hope you and yours are doing as well as can be. Your support means so much to Uplift, and we are available via phone or email to provide assistance at this time.

At Uplift, our focus continues to be on serving the children and families that rely on us for grief support. We have named our efforts #upliftathome , and I invite you to explore our resources.
-        Our Family Services Clinicians are in regular contact with Uplift families via phone calls, texts, and emails to gauge the well-being of children and caregivers and offer resources designed to calm fears and apprehension. We are actively exploring what kind of remote support may be possible for our families.
-        Our School & Community Clinicians are supporting school staff and developing a plan to support schools virtually. They are also working with community partners to explore virtual grief group support options.
-        The Uplift team has been creating and sharing tip sheets with advice for speaking with children about the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing, and safety and protection at this time.
-        This week we’ll start streaming online book readings and activities for children on our social media channels and website.
-        We’re compiling all of our resources on the #upliftathome webpage as we continue sharing them on social media and via emails to our supporters and friends.

As you can imagine, we are also paying close attention to the organization’s financial well-being. Board and Leadership are practicing strict fiscal responsibility, but with funding streams compromised, we will be looking at a budget shortfall this quarter, and likely into the start of our new fiscal year this summer, as well.

If you are able, please consider making a gift to Uplift today. Your donation will be greatly appreciated by the Uplift team as well as the children and families we continue to assist, even from afar.

Thank you for uplifting grieving children and families . I look forward to the time when we can be together again.

In good health,
Darcy Walker Krause
Executive Director
