Intruder Attacks Grotto Monastery 

At approximately 6 a.m. yesterday, Feb. 28, an unidentified man broke into The Grotto Monastery, the Servite Friars' private residence, located in the Upper Gardens. The intruder vandalized several rooms, including the monastery chapel and many sacred items. Police arrested the intruder shortly after. No one was hurt, but the damage is extensive.

Grounds: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Lower level only during storm clean-up)

Gift Shop: 9 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Mary

Priest Office Hours

10-11:45 a.m.

and 3-5 p.m.

Office is located inside the Visitor Center.

Lower level open, Upper Gardens to reopen Saturday

The Upper Gardens remain closed as crews are working swiftly to clear debris from the January storm. The Upper Gardens will reopen Saturday, March 2, although some areas will not be accessible as we continue with storm clean-up.

Heavenly Father, as a child I mostly thought of you as a 'granter of wishes'. As an adult I now understand that having a relationship with you is not about wishes. It is about Faith and Trust; Hope and Honesty.
