Dear Upper School Families,
Hopefully this finds you and your family enjoying the early phase of a much-needed break. Extra sleep, auditing your cooking or baking supplies… anyone?
We want to savor the week ahead but also want to share with you the lunch plan for upper-schoolers upon our return from break. While our situation remains fluid, Middle and Upper School plan to return on the Maroon and Gray hybrid model until otherwise directed. In preparation for that, SAGE will be providing a boxed lunch to every student who would like one. The menu (click here to view) is fixed and includes a healthy meal with a wrap or sandwich the students are accustomed to seeing on our salad bar.
This past Friday, all upper-schoolers were sent a Google Form survey that included the first week’s menu and the opportunity to check whether or not they would like a boxed lunch each day they are at school. Students may partake every day their group is on campus, not at all, or just some of the days. SAGE will also have appropriate meals for any students with dietary restrictions. Those who wish to pack a lunch from home may do so, and seniors may still get food locally via take-out or drive-thru.
Additionally, looking ahead to December and midterm exams, the Upper School is looking closely at how to right-size our assessments for the end of the semester given the uniqueness of the year. The dates for exams/projects will remain largely the same, December 11 and 14-17, but we will adjust exact times and modalities to fit the circumstances as they unfold. More details will be available upon our return to classes in December.
In the meantime, here is a quick glance at the week of our return.
