A Note from Mr. Barkman

Dear WCA families,



I hope this message finds you well during this season of Advent and reflection. It is a great time of year to focus on the joy, gratitude, and anticipation that comes in our focus on the Reason for the Season - the coming of Jesus and His promised return.

In the midst of all the busy schedules and numerous celebrations, I would like to give you a quick reminder. Re-enrollment for our current WCA students opened on Monday, December 1. All parents should have received an email with information and instructions on how to re-enroll their children. We are grateful for your partnership and for the opportunity to serve your family each day.

Enrollment for WCA siblings, WCP students, and WMC members will open on January 5, and applications for our community will begin on January 12. If you have any questions or need support during this process, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for trusting us as partners in your child’s education. It is a privilege and a joy to walk alongside them as they learn, grow, and flourish. We look forward to continuing this journey together.

Lost and Found

All items remaining in Lost & Found after Friday, December 20 will be donated over the break. Please have your student check for missing items!

School Lunch Increase

Effective Tuesday, January 6, the cost of WCA school lunch will increase to $6.50.

Thank you for your understanding.

• High School Exams - December 15-17
• High School Trip to Operation Christmas Child - Thursday, December 18
• Middle School Class Parties - Friday, December 19 (1:30-2:30 pm)
• No High School Classes - Friday, December 19
• Christmas Break - December 22-January 2
• Teacher Workday (No School) - Monday, January 5
• First Day of Third Quarter - Tuesday, January 6
• Report Cards Home - Wednesday, January 7

Exams will be held at Hemby House. Students should be dropped off by 9 am and picked up at 2:30 at Hemby House.

Please send your student with a packed lunch for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Each exam period is 2 hours long.

Students will be required to stay in the exam for the entire exam period. Please bring something to study or read if you finish early.

A separate room will be provided for those whose SSPs require extra time.

No electronic devices will be allowed in the exam room, unless specifically directed by the teacher.
