Upper School Curriculum Night
Thursday, September 25 at 5:30 pm
All Upper School parents are invited to join us in the Youth Center for Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 25.
Parents will have the opportunity to hear from their students' teachers regarding plans for the coming year. Teachers will share information on curriculum and expectations for each course. Please plan to attend!

Rivalry Night
Monday, September 22
Join us Monday for Rivalry Night at WCA!
The afternoon will begin with a pep rally for fall sports. Athletes are encouraged to wear their jerseys to school. After school, both volleyball and soccer teams will be in action against rival Calvary Christian.
Jersey Mike's subs will be available to purchase on the patio starting at 4 pm. A portion of the proceeds will benefit WCA.

Student Government
Developing Student Leaders
We are excited to launch our first Student Council at WCA. Student government is a great opportunity for young people to learn people skills, to plan, and to organize. Student leaders will be granted the privilege by their peers to practice responsibility and accountability in a low risk environment.
The Student Council will be supervised by at least one staff member during their meetings and committee work and will be required to collaborate with WCA Administration and the leadership of PTF when planning and coordinating events. We are looking forward to the way God will use student government to stretch and grow these young people over the coming year.

Friday, October 3
High school students are invited to our second annual Homecoming on Friday, October 3 at 7 pm at the Union Exchange. The event will include dinner, fire pit, games, and superlatives.

Saturday, October 4
Middle school students are invited to our third annual Fall Fest on Saturday, October 4 at 6 pm at Hall Family Farm. There is no charge, but parents are asked to help with refreshments.

Wings of Worship
Lifting our Voices
Rehearsals are underway for the Wings of Worship Choir! All students in 7th-10th grades are encouraged to participate. The choir practices every Wednesday at 3 pm in the WMC Sanctuary. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn from WMC Traditional Worship Music Minister Dr. Rob Ridgell.
Parents, please pick up your student at the Sanctuary at 3:45 pm.

Hawk Honor Guard
Honoring Our Flag
WCA is proud to introduce our Hawk Honor Guard, a club for 9th and 10th grade students. Club members will raise and lower the outside flags as necessary and lead flag ceremonies during chapel and other school events.
Meetings will take place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month before school at 7:30 am. Join us for the next meeting on September 23 in the Youth Center.

Join us for our Fall Youth Retreat from November 14 - 16 at Look Up Lodge in Traveler's Rest, SC. This retreat is open to all youth in grades 6 - 12. Our youth will enjoy meaningful worship and devotions while participating in exciting activities like field games, zip lines, paddle boats, kayaks, and canoes.
The cost is $180 per person, with an $80 deposit due at the time of registration. CLICK HERE to register by October 3! Space is limited.

Coach's Notes
- Our Hawks crushed it on the road this week, securing multiple victories. The Cross-Country team excelled at Hares & Hounds this weekend as well. Awesome work by all athletes!
- Come cheer for us Monday when we host rival Calvary Christian for soccer and volleyball. On Tuesday, Cross-Country hits another conference meet where they’ve been strong all season. On Thursday, volleyball travels to Marvin Academy.
