VBH WEEKLY HEADLINES
Veteran Uptown Lunch

Veterans Bridge Home is excited to welcome Frank Van Buren, speaker, author, advisor and former UH-60 Blackhawk pilot in the Army to the June 12th Veteran Uptown Lunch.

In 1996, Frank transitioned out of the US Army, into an MBA program, and then into the finance arena. His experiences over the last 21 years since transition, as a transitioning veteran, engaged mentor and staunch advocate inspire current veterans in transition, and allows Frank to speak with authority, passion and enthusiasm about the community of his origin.

Delivering tailored support to Veterans requires teamwork
Serving 254 Veterans and military families with 16 different categories of services in one month cannot be done by a single organization. It takes a team of teams approach to deliver solutions that address individual needs with tailored solutions.

The Veteran-serving organizations that led the way in our community last month for the number of referrals made and received were: Mecklenburg County Veterans Service Office, ABCCM, Salvation Army Center of Hope, American Red Cross - Carolina Piedmont Region, Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont, Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, and Patriots Path. Great job!
