Don't Miss the Bylaw Enforcement Webinar

In the last edition of Urban Update, we asked what topic you'd like to see covered in the next SUMA webinar. The most popular answer, with nearly 50 per cent of votes, was bylaw enforcement.

Tomorrow, join SUMA and lawyer Neil Robertson, QC, for the webinar Enforcing Municipal Bylaws . Municipalities spend a lot of time and effort writing bylaws to help further the safety, health, and well-being of their residents. But can those bylaws be enforced? Robertson will discuss the challenges and opportunities in enforcing compliance with bylaws.

Don't miss your chance to take in the webinar at 10 a.m. December 18.
Share Your Opinion On Local Boards of Revision

SUMA and SARM are working with the Ministry of Government Relations to find ways to improve local boards of revision and reduce the number of appeals going to the Saskatchewan Municipal Board.

We encourage municipal councils to share their opinion on boards of revision by filling out this survey before December 20 . Results will be shared with the government to help inform their review.
