See SUMA's Strategic Plan

After every municipal election, once the full Board is in place, SUMA creates a strategic plan for the term.  In the 2017-21 SUMA Strategic Plan, we reiterated our core functions, tweaked our mission, vision and values, and set out five strategic priorities. This plan was crafted in close consultation with our Board and senior management, and we are excited to share it with members.

Changes for Shipping Water Samples

The Canada Post shipping label program offered through SUMAdvantage has its beginnings in saving members money when shipping water samples. We've recently discovered that Canada Post has changed their calculation of dimensional weight, and local postal outlets are now suggesting water samples need to be sent using the larger (five-kilogram) label, rather than the 1.36-kilogram size previously used. Please continue to use your 1.36-kilogram labels if your local postal outlet accepts it.

We are working closely with Canada Post to find a solution for members. If you encounter any issues with shipping labels and your water samples, please contact Beverly Bradshaw at 306-525-4395 so we can share members' experiences with Canada Post. Watch Urban Update and the shipping labels page on our website for more details as they become available.
