Flood Mitigation Programming
Does your municipality have a long-term flood mitigation project in mind?
Apply for funding through the
Flood Damage Reduction Program! The new program is designed to help municipalities in their proactive planning to address emergencies before they arise.
A total of $1.5 million in funding is available this year.
Eligible projects will be cost-shared on a 50/50 basis between the Saskatchewan Water Security Agency and the community.
Apply by October 30.

Funding the Great Trail
The Great Trail, spanning Canada, is the world's longest network of recreational multi-use trails. If your community has a trail project planned, you could be eligible for funding.
Eligible project types are:
- New: Project to build a new trail section or major infrastructure (bridges, campsites, and access points)
- Trail upgrade: Project that improves the trail experience such as upgrading the surface from gravel to asphalt
- Major repairs: Project to repair damages caused by a major event

Asset Management Workshops for Municipal Staff
The Urban Municipal Administrators' Association of Saskatchewan and the Rural Municipal Administrators' Association have joint workshops scheduled on practical applications relating to Municipal Asset Management Programs and Practices.
Workshops, happening November 20-29 across the province, are designed for administrators, CFOs and municipal staff who are involved in the development and administration of municipal asset management policies, plans, and budget.
The workshops include a MuniSoft PubWorks presentation and a session on Excel spreadsheet and asset management accounting perspectives.
