The campaign is part of DDI's new
Power of Diamonds Initiative

which
works to harness the capacity of diamonds to provide a way out of poverty in countries with alluvial mining, by empowering cooperatives of artisanal and small-scale miners.
MABOF needs your help.
The first beneficiary of the campaign is the MABOF cooperative. Founded in 1995, MABOF is a joint artisanal diamond-mining venture of two communities located in the Kono District of Sierra Leone with a combined population of 1800 people.
The campaign aims to provide MABOF the means to operate legally and maximize the success of ethical, sustainable mining of diamonds.
