IMPORTANT Board Survey Question on 2020
Annual Member Meeting Next Month

Please respond to the question below at!

Dear Green Mountain Region PCA members,

The Board of Directors executive board has to make a decision to hold the annual membership meeting in person (face-to-face) or virtually (using a Zoom meeting platform). The current requirements for in person meetings during the Covid-19 pandemic place extra demands on groups holding in person events.

So, we are seeking your input prior to making this decision to make sure that if we hold an in person event, our membership is supportive and would be comfortable attending. Please consider this question carefully, and reply by tomorrow, Monday, September 14 to

The question:

Would you prefer to hold the annual membership meeting in a face-to-face setting in Killington with a lunch, or would you prefer that the annual membership meeting is held using a virtual format; e.g. a Zoom meeting platform?

Please reply using one of the answers below:

1) I support an in person, face-to-face membership meeting with lunch at Killington, and would plan to attend.

2) I support a virtual (Zoom meeting format) for the annual membership meeting.

3) It doesn’t matter to me, I do not plan to attend the annual meeting.

To help make your decision, here is some information that the board must consider as the annual meeting is planned during this Covid-19 period. Please review.

--Inside events cannot exceed 75 people, or 50% of the occupancy limit for the room (if less than 75) - 75 people is the max.

--Outside seating is recommended
--An outdoor meeting (& lunch), while minimizing some of the COVID-19 concerns, would remain dependent on cooperative weather.

--Inside seating must maintain a 6 ft distance between people even when eating

--Participants MUST wear masks at all times except when eating

--Buffet style serving is not allowed - so we will need to speak with Killington about how they will plan the menu and serving.

--We must maintain a log of attendees, contact information of all
attendees, including facility staff, for 30 days after the event.

Killington has additional guidelines they must follow (see section 7.1
of the information in the link);

Guidelines for all events etc can be reviewed at the following link:

During the annual membership meeting, we hear the yearly reports of the president, treasurer, and secretary. And, this year the membership must vote on a new slate of club officers. While the membership business meeting is not long, the items are important and require membership input.

Please note, whether we have the membership meeting face-to-face or virtually, we will have a driving tour on the date of the October club event, Saturday, October 10.

Thank you for your assistance and we look forward to your replies! GMR-PCA Board of Directors

If you did not participate on the July or August tours you and your passenger must sign a PCA Communicable Disease Waiver form. You can find the requisite forms above in this newsletter or on the Green Mountain Region website in the section entitled “What to do before you arrive at a tour event”. Please make every effort to arrive with your signed forms.

Great Tour out of West Dover August 15!

Thanks to Bob Rubin for hosting our August tour of southern Vermont

The weather was perfect as we gathered almost 20 cars at the Gray Ghost Inn in West Dover, Vermont. Our route took us south on Route 100 until we hopped onto Dover Hill Road and then Grimes Hill Road. After 13 miles of great turns we picked up Route 30 in Newfane and headed north on Route 35 through Grafton. In Grafton, we picked up Route 35 to Chester. After a brief stop in Chester for coffee and a stretch we fired up the engines and set out on Route 11 until we reconnected to Route 30 south. In Bondville, we turned onto Stratton Mountain Road towards the ski area and wound our way to West Wardsboro where we rejoined Route 100 and closed the loop back to West Dover.
