On Monday, August 19th, the Woodland Camp Office caught fire due to an electrical condition. Our hearts are broken, but we are thankful that no staff or fire fighters were injured. Our insurance carrier has determined that the building is a total loss and will have to be demolished and removed from the site. As soon as we get the approval from the adjusters, we will begin developing plans for a new Camp Office. Our goal will be to build an office of excellence with additional work and meeting space to facilitate purposeful ministry and growth. In order to meet this level of excellence, we estimate that we will need an additional $150,000 beyond our Insurance Allotment.
The Camp Office has served as a home to three leadership families since the late 1960's. In the early 1980's, we added the office wing on to the house. Tremendous ministry has been administrated through this special building for over 50 years. We are confident that God will use the new Camp Office to further His Kingdom through the ministry of Woodland Christian Camp.
We are so grateful for your support and prayers. So many have asked 'how can we help?' Donations can be mailed or made online at
with "Office Rebuilding" in the campaign memo. We are also developing an Amazon Charity Wishlist at
. This will help us with our immediate need to replace the contents of the office in order to continue managing our current Retreat Season.
(Note: Amazon is currently optimizing the Charity List feature for mobile devices, so the list may only be available on a desktop browser.)
Again, we thank you for your continuing encouragement and support of Woodland,
