Good Afternoon,
The Tribal Agriculture Fellowship would like to share an important update with our community regarding the Special Purpose Fund.
It has been an honor to support Native students across the country through this fund. Because of the Special Purpose Fund, students have had opportunities to pursue agriculture-based projects, educational experiences, and travel that have strengthened their academic journeys and helped them move toward their professional goals.
We are grateful to everyone who has been part of making these opportunities possible. At this time, all available funding for the Special Purpose Fund has been fully allocated, and we are closing the fund to new requests effective immediately. The tremendous response to the fund reflects both the incredible work Native students are doing and the continued need for resources that support their education, professional development, and connection to agriculture and Tribal communities.
What this means:
- Requests already submitted: We are continuing to review requests that have already been received and will process them in the order they were submitted, as funding allows.
- Requests in progress: We are unable to accept new requests or additional submissions at this time.
- Looking ahead: We are actively seeking additional funding and opportunities so that we can continue supporting Native students.
While we are saddened that we cannot support every request at this time, we are incredibly proud of the students, projects, and opportunities this fund has helped make possible. Their work, passion, and commitment to the future of agriculture in Tribal communities are an important part of why this program exists.
We know that these resources can make a meaningful difference, and we are deeply grateful for the community of students, families, partners, supporters, and organizations who continue to believe in and invest in the next generation of Native agricultural leaders.
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued partnership. We will keep our community informed as we work to create future opportunities for Native students.
With Gratitude,
TAF Staff
