Since we started Urology Unbound, our mission has been to increase the recruitment, retention, and promotion of underrepresented minorities in urology. As someone who has personally benefited from great mentors, I understand the potential impact of creating mentorship and sponsorship opportunities for the students and residents in our pipeline program. I am thrilled to be a part of Urology Unbound's leadership team and appreciate everyone for supporting our organization!

We're excited to announce the successful matching of our inaugural cohort of Urology Unbound interns into urology this year! This milestone showcases their achievements and validates our internship program's role in nurturing future urology leaders. Urology Unbound was founded with a vision: to offer mentorship, research, and practical experience to aspiring urologists. The match success of our first interns confirms our program's positive impact and solidifies our dedication to supporting medical students and post-graduate physicians. We eagerly anticipate their ongoing success and contributions to the urology field. We extend our warmest congratulations to our interns and look forward to witnessing their continued growth and accomplishments in the field of urology.

Welcome our New Interns

This month we finished piloting our inaugural year of the Application Polishing Program. We have paired 28 student members with physician mentors who will review their ERAS application and personal statements to help 4th year students fine polish their final applications for residency! Look out for this program to be offered next year. We are always looking to foster new relationships between urology students and urologists!

Support Underrepresented Minority Urologists

Your gift will support our webinars and workshops, application reviews, mock interview programs, our annual resident boot camp, research, networking events, and more! It will also support the Dr. Ifeanyi Onyeji Medical Student Travel Award which will send 3-5 students to the American Urological Association each year
