A Moment for Mission

“Praise be to you, my Lord, through our Sister, Mother Earth, who sustains and governs us, and who produces various fruit with colored flowers and herbs”.

St. Francis of Assisi

A Note from the President

Hello! It’s been quite a week! I have a few things for you.

The closing of Rosati-Kain and St. Mary’s brings a great deal of heartache, certainly for the families involved, but also for the entire St. Louis Catholic community. We’ve been fielding many inquiries since the news broke and have put a structure in place to support RK students, including a web page, an information night on campus and a special shadow day. We’re also proactively reaching out to families connected to Ursuline through participation in enrollment events, athletics, etc. If you know of anyone from Rosati-Kain who may be interested in attending Ursuline, please help them connect to Meghan Ploesser ([email protected]).

The Parent Speaker Series kicks off next week with a great presentation by Cari McKnight on an issue facing many of our students. See details below. We are hosting the series in person, on campus, rather than virtually, to create an environment where parents can really connect and share ideas. I hope you’ll come to gain invaluable insights into the mindset of young women.

And lastly, my Strategic Plan “road show” has begun! Thank you to those who attended the briefing this past Wednesday and shared their feedback. We have a virtual briefing scheduled for Tuesday, October 4 at 4:00pm. Please join us to learn about Ursuline’s priorities and plans for the next 2-3 years. RSVP information appears below. It’s an exciting time at UA!

That’s all for now. So many of you are helping Ursuline in so many ways - THANK YOU!!!

All my best,

Peggy Slater
