Last week, several carriers issued notices that there is an SEP for those affected by COVID-19. At this time, those notices have been retracted. CMS has advised that at this time, there is no SEP in effect for the Covid-19 Pandemic.   We will keep you updated as we receive more information.

Consumers Panic Shopping for Life Insurance
in the Face of Coronavirus

According to a recent  Forbes article , panic buying has now extended to life insurance. In fact, according to the MIB Life Index, life insurance application activity increased 5.6% year over year in February, a second consecutive month of increases.

Now is time to ask your customers if their life insurance coverage is adequate.   We can help you understand available options from term insurance through final expense. Remember, most life insurance carriers offer electronic applications with alternatives to wet signatures.
