SHORT FILMS TO DISCUSS

YOU ARE INVITED!

ADVOCACY ALERT: Take Action!

We serve. We advocate. We make a difference.

Advocating is a way of taking action for a more just world. Use your voice to improve life for women, children and youth.

The first step is to understand the issues. Thank you, Texas Impact, for equipping us as people of faith with information, opportunities, and outreach tools to learn and engage with lawmakers on pressing public policy issues. Here are some easy ways to advocate:

Sign the "Discrimination is not a Texas value" letter to Texas Lawmakers

• Listen to Weekly Witness podcast - learn about important public policy issues through a faith lens, and get timely opportunities to participate in the public policy process

• Stay informed with your choice of Action Alerts and more

NATIVE IMMERSION: Culture & Horrors

The recent Oklahoma Indian Mission Conference Immersion Experience was about learning Native American culture and history. The 5-day event covered more than 500 miles in Oklahoma including stops at museums, Indian UMCs and battlefields/massacre sites. A child psychologist spoke about the abuse suffered by Native American children at boarding schools decades ago that leads to challenges today.
