Incident at our Lady of Perpetual Help (comedy)
Whether you grew up Catholic, lived through the 1970s, or your family resembles the “fun” in dysfunctional – this nostalgic and heartfelt new comedy is for you! Travel back in time to a world before cellphones and social media when public ridicule in a hermetically sealed Catholic parish was the ultimate nightmare. It’s 1973 and the O’Shea family faces a comic crisis of biblical proportions when their 19-year-old daughter tells her younger sister about “the birds and the bees” and their bawdy conversation is overheard by the parish priest. Holy hell and hilarity break loose as the O’Sheas band together to preserve their good name and prove that nothing is more sacred than family. Get ready for heart warming laughter and all the polyester you can handle!

Fitness Foundation-Chair Exercise | |
Many individuals with chronic pain have restricted movements, limited range of motion, mobility issues or balance concerns that can make engaging in physical activity, such as walking or using weight machines, difficult or impossible. One often forgotten option that is available is chair-based exercise.
In this type of physical activity, the individual completes the activity while seated in a wheelchair, desk chair or any other type of chair. This allows those with mobility or balance issues to exercise and alleviates pressure from the lower body for those who are in pain. There are also standing exercises that use a chair as a supportive device.
A wide variety of chair-based exercises exist. Activities can be aerobic to improve heart health, strength based to build muscle or yoga inspired to stretch the body. A combination of the three leads to a complete workout without leaving a chair.
Come join us every Monday for a fun filled workout, using balls, bands and weights.
Dates: Every Monday - New session begins each month
Time: 10:00-11:00am
Location: Town Hall Gym
Fee: $5 Drop In; $12 Each Session
What to wear: Light fitting closed easy for moving in
What to bring: Water and a towel
