BRAZIL #357
GIANT PEACOCK BASS- HOSTED
| |
Starting on April 10, 2025, US citizens will need a visa to enter Brazil. It can be done on line, but it requires various financial disclosures which we suspect many US citizens will be reluctant to give to a foreign country. Go now to beat that. FOR the next 11 months, you can go without the visa!!! Join us!!
We have been exploring Brazil’s Amazon fishing operations to find suitable outfitters, assisted by our very experienced pro-staff member and resident Brazilian expert, Diego Andrade. Among the most attractive destinations is our Fish Nation trip # 357. Many of Brazil’s offerings involve living on a boat, not the most comfortable way to go. However, the #357 trip is a new beautiful 3 year old Lodge using fast bass boats to reach out to prime areas.
Very experienced guides; excellent food, a pool, a/c for rooms, a full service bar and giant peacock bass that literally are capable of crushing normal hooks and tearing off swivels and split rings! Our VP, Butch and one of our consultants, Derek, recently sampled these big fish- and came away hooked for life! Interestingly all the legends of giant snakes, huge swarms of bugs and deadly piranhas, all turned out to be mere fictions. No worries, indeed Diego routinely takes his wife and their 1 and 6 year old children with him! Even swimming!
This is truly a world class fishery, on a world class peacock river, in an awesome habitat and all from a comfortable lodge. Two per boat, great for family or friends. Butch is hosting a trip with his wife Joan for Jan 5 – 12, 2025 and there are openings to join them. Many other dates are also open, just ask us for the full writeup and travel details Pricing includes meet and greet; in country air transfers, lodging, food and guiding, bass boats and most drinks. These are prime fishing dates.

MONGOLIA #364
OUTSTANDING TAIMEN FLY FISHING ADVENTURES
| |
This Outfitter offers two fishing areas, eastern and western, situated five hundred miles (800 kilometers) apart. Although both river drainages offer very unique and quite different fishing experiences, they share a commonality of great service, productive fisheries, spectacular scenery, and waters exceptionally well suited to the fly angler.
No international angler may legally access these rivers without a permit secured through our Outfitters. Upon arrival in Mongolia, an English-speaking guide and driver transfer guests to a comfortable hotel in the center of Ulaanbaatar. Early the next morning, a ninety-minute commercial flight delivers anglers to the small town of Muron. From here, you’ll drive approximately five to six hours across the Mongolian countryside to reach base camp which is well equipped with comfortable “gers” (Mongolia portable tents) for dining and accommodations. All camps have simple toilet and hot shower facilities. Excellent meals. Professional chefs. Dozens of seasonal camps protecting nearly one-thousand kilometers of wild and productive river.
Taimen are perhaps the world’s most incredible fly fishing experience. Taimen can live for nearly fifty years and reach over sixty inches in length. They are renowned for a ferocious appetite and explosive strike. The outfitters crew and guides work very hard to select the best times for weather and water conditions. That’s why they operate on two different rivers throughout the five-month fishing season. This is truly an unforgettable fishing adventure!
