We have been exploring Brazil’s Amazon fishing operations to find suitable outfitters, assisted by our very experienced pro-staff member and resident Brazilian expert, Diego Andrade. Among the most attractive destinations is our Fish Nation trip # 357. Many of Brazil’s offerings involve living on a boat, not the most comfortable way to go. However, the #357 trip is a new beautiful 3 year old Lodge using fast bass boats to reach out to prime areas.

Very experienced guides; excellent food, a pool, a/c for rooms, a full service bar and giant peacock bass that literally are capable of crushing normal hooks and tearing off swivels and split rings! Our VP, Butch and one of our consultants, Derek, recently sampled these big fish- and came away hooked for life! Interestingly all the legends of giant snakes, huge swarms of bugs and deadly piranhas, all turned out to be mere fictions. No worries, indeed Diego routinely takes his wife and their 1 and 6 year old children with him! Even swimming!

This Utah fly fishing lodge is truly one of the great western fly fishing lodges. Awarded the Orvis 2001 and 2012 Fly Fishing Lodge of the Year Award. This Outfitter offers two fishing areas, eastern and western, situated five hundred miles (800 kilometers) apart. Upon arrival in Mongolia, an English-speaking guide and driver transfer guests to a comfortable hotel in the center of Ulaanbaatar. Early the next morning, a ninety-minute commercial flight delivers anglers to the small town of Muron. From here, you’ll drive approximately five to six hours across the Mongolian countryside to reach base camp which is well equipped with comfortable “gers” (Mongolia portable tents) for dining and accommodations.
