Women's History Month at the Movies

March marks Women's History Month, and three notable media projects funded by the Division of Public Programs highlight women's contribution to creating a better society. These projects feature courageous women who challenged oppressive forces and fought for change in politics, journalism, and international law

Still Curious About What We Do?

Our annual report gives specific examples of how we are meeting our mission to improve communities through the humanities.

Learn more about the role we play in Utah communities, how our work is divided into centers that each address a specific humanities focus, how we partner with organizations to offer humanities programs statewide, and more.

This recent report also gives real-life stories about people from your communities whose lives have been improved because of our work. Get to know us by clicking here or by clicking the image above to read our annual report.

What if You Could Affect Society and Improve Lives
in a Single Day?

Love UT Give UT is our community's biggest day of giving. It's one extraordinary day to support the organizations that make Utah a great place to live and work, including Utah Humanities. And it's your chance to make a positive impact in your community.
          • Do you share a passion for lifelong learning?
          • Do you take comfort in knowing people have access to educational opportunities?
          • Do you enjoy visiting museums and learning about local history?
          • Do you enjoy community conversations that get to the heart of current issues facing your community?
If you do, then you share our vision and belief that the humanities have the power to help us become better individuals and to create a better society. Your support will provide
Utahns --like you--access to programs that empower them
  to
improve their communities through active engagement in
  the
humanities.

Many Thanks

Utah Humanities is grateful for the generous support of many individuals, foundations, and corporations and for public funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the State of Utah, and the Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, and Parks Fund.

Special thanks to Alternative Visions for supporting UH's Clemente Course in the Humanities, a college humanities course for underserved high school students.
