COVID-19 Policy Action Plan Recommendations
Across America, manufacturers are stepping up to help keep our communities and employees safe and healthy. As NAM Board Chair Mike Lamach, Chairman and CEO of Trane Technologies plc, has stated, “Manufacturers have a greater purpose than profits. We are also about protecting our people and our communities.” To help contain the spread of COVID-19, manufacturers are calling on Congress and federal agencies to adopt numerous legislative and regulatory changes. These commonsense measures will be effective not only during this potential health crisis, but also in any future emergencies. Manufacturers are committed to being part of the solution, and these government actions will enable the industry to respond the most effectively.

NAM CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK SPECIAL SURVEY
The National Association of Manufacturers conducted a survey of its member companies on the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak to manufacturers. The survey was in the field from Feb. 28 to March 9, 2020. The 558 respondents were asked about effects to their supply chain and operations, their financial expectations and their emergency response plans.
