SPOTLIGHT| Word to the Wild: Moab

In March, UMN presented the very first Word to the Wild event in Moab.

By all accounts, it was a phenomenal success!

Three Book Covers: Mine Okubo's "Citizen 13600," Riley Black's "The Shortest History of the Dinosaurs," and Terry Tempest Williams' "The Hour of Land."

A person's hand fits easily inside a 3-toed dinosaur track preserved in sandstone.

With USU Moab as our home base, we explored the Moab Museum, Utahraptor State Park, and Mill Canyon Dinosaur Tracksite.

We dabbled in sketching, watercolor painting, and journaling exercises. Our conversations were wide-ranging, yet anchored by the books we read and discussed.

Everyone agreed that this course is great for anybody - you don't need to be a writer or an artist.
