Developers of the Mariner East 2 are indicted in Pennsylvania, with one (Energy Transfer) facing 48 criminal charges.

A grand jury in Pennsylvania indicted the developers of the Mariner East 2 pipeline, which is set to carry significant amounts of natural gas from the Marcellus shale play to an export hub near Philadelphia. Most of the charges involve allegations of illegal releasing of industrial waste into water sources throughout Pennsylvania.
EAP Ohio, LLC seeks to drill at least three additional wells in Columbiana County.

EAP Ohio, LLC filed for three permits to drill new wells located in Columbiana County. These three wells will be drilled in Washington Township and will target the Point Pleasant formation. This is part of, what appears to be, EAP’s intent to further develop Columbiana County.
The number of active natural gas drilling rigs in United States remains flat, while active oil drilling rigs increases.

Potentially reading the tea leaves of gas price increases, the number of active oil drilling rigs in the United States increased by five, bringing the total to 533. The net increase of five was due to an increase of nine horizontal rigs, while the number of vertical rigs declined by four.

Seneca Resources, a Pennsylvania natural gas producer, agreed with Project Canary to start the process of certification as an “independent responsibly sourced gas (RSG).” This certification process reviews a producer’s operations to determine whether the natural gas producer’s operations properly balance production and environmental sustainability concerns.
Increases in natural gas prices increase U.S. producer’s revenue share for natural gas.
Increases in natural gas prices has increased the share of revenue that U.S. producers realize from gas versus oil. While prices of oil and natural have jumped, the share of revenue from natural gas has significantly increased the U.S. producers’ natural gas balance sheets.

The conference will have a variety of speakers, including speakers from Encino Energy, who will how the U.S. energy industry is furthering the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) movement.
