The Foundational State Plan for Preventing Child Sexual Abuse in Virginia: A Preliminary Framework for Collaboration
In 2024, FACT hired a consultant to create a state plan, in partnership with the FACT Child Abuse & Neglect Advisory Committee, for the prevention of child sexual assault.
When used in conjunction with The National Plan to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, Virginia’s Plan is intended to be used as a preliminary, informative guide for policy makers and advocates to address child safety and wellbeing challenges through a state-based framework – representing the first step in a unified position on child sexual abuse prevention efforts across state partners. Virginia Shared Risk and Protective Factors Dashboard
The Office of Family Health Services released the new Virginia Shared Risk and Protective Factors Dashboard, in partnership with the Center for Public Health Informatics. The Virginia Shared Risk and Protective Factors Dashboard presents Virginia data indicators that monitor increased likelihood (risk factors) or decreased likelihood (protective factors) of injury or violence.
